Lawsuit Filed Against Illinois Rehabilitation Center Claims Neglect

There has been a recent Illinois lawsuit filed regarding alleged neglect at a rehabilitation center.  The allegations made are illustrative of various issues that be present in Illinois nursing home abuse and Illinois wrongful death lawsuits.

The lawsuit was filed on June 23 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against the Belleville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center Inc.  The lawsuit was filed by the daughter (Becky Evans) of the deceased man, Daniel Lugge.

The lawsuit is summarized in the Madison-St. Clair Record article of July 8, 2014 titled “Belleville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Sued.”

An excerpt from the article:

Because of his treatment at the rehabilitation facility, Lugge experienced severe pain and suffering before his death and endured disability, according to the complaint. He also lost his normal life, suffered disfigurement, endured mental anguish and emotional distress and incurred medical costs, the suit states.

Additional details and possible updates can be seen in the Madison-St. Clair Record mentioned above.
