Unexplained Bruising As A Sign Of Possible Nursing Home Abuse

As mentioned throughout this site, there are many signs of potential nursing home abuse.

One of these signs is if unexplained bruising occurs.   Other unexplained injuries are also potential signs.

A recent action by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services against a North Carolina assisted living facility highlights alleged nursing home abuse, including a resident who had an unexplained large bruise.  The resident later died.

This nursing home abuse is discussed in The Associated Press article seen in the July 2, 2014 GreenfieldReporter.com article titled “Wilmington-area nursing home cited for failure to protect residents” and more fully at the July 1 starnewsonline.com article titled “N.C. agency issues Champions Assisted Living most severe violation possible.”
