Video Used In Detecting Illinois Nursing Home Negligence

In the September 8, 2014 post (“Proposal To Allow Audio And Video Monitoring In Illinois Nursing Homes“) the then-recently proposed idea to allow video cameras and audio recording devices in Illinois nursing homes was discussed.  The idea for such monitoring is to better ensure the safety and well-being of Illinois nursing home residents.

This evening (December 9, 2014) CBS Chicago ran a segment (with video) regarding a video of alleged Illinois nursing home negligence, regarding the care of a woman (Jean Mangan) at the Concord Nursing and Rehab Center, which is now known as Aperion Care Oak Lawn.  This video is alleged evidence of the negligence.

The alleged injuries that the woman suffered led to a Illinois nursing home negligence lawsuit, as discussed in the segment.

The CBS Chicago segment can be seen in the article titled “Daughter of Woman Allegedly Injured In Nursing Home Pushes For Patient Monitoring.”
